Adèle Hénot-Mortier

Linguist & Computer Scientist

Home

I am 6th year PhD student in Linguistics at MIT. Before doing Linguistics, I studied theoretical Computer Science and a couple other unrelated topics in my home country, France. My current areas of interest are pragmatics, experimental linguistics, and puzzles at the syntax-semantics interface. I am also have a few NLP projects on the side, with the general goal of quantitatively evaluating statistical models of language w.r.t. fine-grained linguistic phenomena. In my spare time I love to tinker with old bikes, conduct more or less successful plant propagation experiments, collect/repair vintage handheld consoles, watch stupid animes, hunt for free food on campus, and just tell my cat Sachou how cute and pretty she is.

announcement Keely New, Margaret Wang and I survived Masala Square's 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Challenge! Now looking for new teammates to do it again 😈
